The Things Girls Talk About

If you know me at all you know that I am married, in my jr. year of college, and have three dogs. You also may know I get some really hot baby fever every now and again. I work at a bank with mostly girls so we talk a lot.

One day on my way home from school I was thinking to myself.

I though, "Self, you maybe graduating a year from this coming spring, you are going to be 23 years old and hopefully get a job that spring for the coming fall. But if you don't graduate in the spring you wont get a job until you are 24 years old. So from there if you are 24 you will teach for 2 or three years and then at most you'll be 27 years old. At 27 years old you'll start having a baby at the latest. Great!"

So the following day I went to work and told this plan to one of my close friends. She then said to me "Will you try to plan it out so you'll have your baby during the summer so you can spend all that time with it?" and I said "Yeah! Great idea. When would I have to get prego to do that" She then did the simple math and said "August, September at the latest." I was then pumped because that put the cherry on top of my beautiful plan.

I then proceeded to go home and tell my husband. He then looked at me and was like "Wow, I though you guys just worked with money all day" I then said, "True but money gets me thinking about babies, because we are going to need a lot of it."

I know that I am young but I am emotionally ready for a baby, I want one really bad but I know I'm not mentally, physically, financially, anything that ends with "ly" ready for a baby and therefore go as plan unless God intervene and lets me know of a better one :-D

I Cannot Wait To Be A Teacher

I cannot wait to be a teacher.

This is my first sememster of doing observations, real ones anyway. This summer I did some observations but they were not in a classroom setting. It is very interesting how different children act under authority and under no restrictions.

So this past week has been absolutely amazing. I was really nervous about doing my observations. I know I was going to make a good impression on the principal and the teacher but I was more concerned about the students. I haven't spent much time with younger children other than my siblings and children from church, I was afraid I wouldn't make a good impression on them. I know that I love children but until this week I was afraid they wouldn't love me.

I am so glad that fear is gone. I love the children calling me Mrs. and my last name it was so cute. Some of the children also asked me, "Will you be my teacher someday?" I told them, "Hopefully!" All of this just reinforced my desire to be a teacher. I really hope that I will be a good one. :-)

Interesting Day

So this week has been an interesting one.
My car is acting really retarted. For some reason it even when my keys are out of the ignition the car thinks that they are still there. So the car beeps letting know I'm forgetting my keys and when I try to lock the car manually it will not lock. Really weird.

Today my favorite backpack broke. Pretty unfortunate because it was my favorite backpack. I mean it's no big deal, it's just a backpack but all the same.

Also I found out today that my biological father Pat will not be able to come up tomorrow to see me. His games got canceled so he cannot come up unfortunately.

But what I realize is that my life is good. Things are really good and these are all just petty things that I will get over here in a few minutes or days. My life will always have it's ups and downs and I will be joyful in the Lord.

I Hate Being Sick

I hate being sick

It is not my favorite pass time

I do appreciate getting sick during the warm months as oppose to the colder months though. There is just something about being sick that is really annoying, along with misquotes, which there just happens to be a lot of right now.

So lately school is going good. I am ready to get done with school though. Like done done. Not just done for the semester but done forever but I have a feeling that is never going to happen. Working at the bank is always interesting.

Today my boss told me that I always seem to be the one that brings trouble when I come to her office. I told her they just find me. I think they come to me because I look so young which maybe true in some cases but not in most. I try to always get michelle to put me into the commercial window because that is were I get my best but I am finding that it is also get my worst.

Another thing I am really looking forward is the U2 and Black Eye Peas Concert in October!! Michelle, Shannon, and I are all going on a party bus with my parents and some of their friends! It's going to be absolutely awesome.

On an actual topic

Todays topic is why do we treat each other the way we do? Why are we so rude to eachother?
Do you really think it's ok to get yell at those who are helping you? I just cannot wrap my brain around why people think I am going to do whatever they ask of me while they are yelling it at me.

If you just happen to be one of those people who do yell at people let me tell you, I go above and beyond for people who are really nice to me. If they are just nice to me I am going to my job more than I need to. If you are rude to me, I am going to stand my ground and if my manager tells me different then I am not going to be the one that does it for you if I am made enough. Some one else is going to do it. That's just the way I am. I do not like being yelled at or even treated rudely. I do not respect people like that and you will just get the required work effort out of me, nothing above and beyond.

Also just a peice of advice from my experience. Anytime I have been happy to those who worked at the store I was at they have gone above and beyond for me. People like to work and do things for people who are nice to them. So this is my challenge to you. Just be nice. It will require less effort from yourself, you will have a great experience at the store you are at, and you will have a happy memory and day. That's all I can say to you. Thanks

School

Look who I got to meet! Her name is Picabo! You can meet her at Moody Gardens in Galvastin, Texas!

School can be so overwhelming.
I just got through my first week and my stress level is already at it's max.
So many projects and papers not even mentioning the observations hours I have to do.

Although, I really enjoy school. I hated my general education classes. They were pretty much worthless. Now that I am in the classes I actually will be using and learning from, Iam enjoying school much more.

So I'm hoping to graduate in Spring 2011 but that may or may not work out depending what I need to take next summer. I will most likely graduate in Fall 2011 because next summer I'll be going to Falls Creek with my church. Totally depends on when the classes fall and whether it interferes with Falls Creek.

I'm so ready to be done though. Cannot wait.
